Lip Lab by BITE

Not that you need another lipstick, but if you are in Toronto, San Francisco, or NYC, making an appointment at the Lip Lab by BITE is a must-do! Known for their natural and highly pigmented lip products, BITE's Lip Labs offers every lipstick lover the holy grail. . . your very own customized lipstick. OK, you do need it!

There are two services you can choose from: Custom ($55) or Bespoke ($150). For the Custom Service, you select your shade, the texture/finish, and the scent. For the Bespoke Service, you create two completely original shades, that remains in their records in case you ever wanted to purchase it again, and a lip kit which includes BITE's Mini Agave Lip Mask, Mini Line & Define Lip Primer, and Whipped Cherry Lip Scrub. 

Custom Service

I suggest going through your arsenal of lipsticks before you go, that way you have a better idea of what shades you have a lot of, and what you might want to add. But if you are completely clueless, the Lip Lab artists are there to help you.

I wanted a bold, bright orange lipstick with a luminous finish, but I wasn't loving the two colors I tried on. They were still a bit too dark for what I was looking for. So, I decided instead to go for a bold, bright fuchsia! For fun, I tried on a yellow pigment that would've looked awesome if I were soaking up the sun in Cartagena, Colombia. UGH.

My Amuse Bouche in shade 246, with a luminous finish, and scented with coconut and lime. Smells like a yummy mojito!

Next time, I will go for the Bespoke service that way I can create my own custom orange.

While you are paying more than the average lipstick, you are ultimately getting a unique and personalized experience. I highly recommend it!
